Energy In Motion: An Ecstatic Dance & Cacao Journey
Welcome to Energy In Motion, a transformational event where ecstatic dance, cacao, and emotional release come together to create an unforgettable experience. This is more than an event; it's a journey of self-discovery and expression, offering a blend of personal growth, community connection, and joyful celebration.
Emotion is energy in motion, and this experience is designed to support emotional processing with an undercurrent of bliss. It's about inner exploration and embodied expression, all within a vibrant, party-like atmosphere. Personal development can be fun, and we're here to prove it.
August Event: Heart Chakra (Air)
As we reach the middle of our chakra journey, Energy In Motion is taking to opening our hearts this August.
The heart chakra, also known as the anahata, is the energy centre that is associated with unconditional love, compassion, joy and forgiveness. The bridge between the lower and upper chakras, the heart chakra connects the manifest world with the spiritual realms.
The anahata chakra is associated with the element of air, which like love is both inside us and all around us.
Join us this month as we flow and move with the energy and intention of love.
This event is an opportunity to dance AND an invitation to transform through beauty, play, and the pleasure of being fully present in your body.
Experience Highlights
Ecstatic Dance: A space for free expression. Let go of inhibition and move to the rhythm. No dance experience needed, just an open heart.
Cacao Ceremony: Connect with this heart-opening plant medicine, traditionally known as "food of the Gods." The ceremony invites emotional clarity and deeper connection to self while fueling your desire to dance.
Chakra Exploration: Each event focuses on one of the seven chakras. From the root to the crown, we journey through these energetic centers, integrating their wisdom and embracing their power.

Be clear: No intoxicants

About your hosts: Shahna Sarpi - @shahnasarpi
It was love at first dance, when Shahna stepped onto an ecstatic dance dance-floor. She saw the immense power in embodied movement and authentic expression, coming home to hear body and her self and feeling the liberation that comes from allowing the energy to move through her. Since that time, she has interwoven these lessons and practices into what she does personally, but also professionally.
Shahna works with the body and nervous system to people out of survival mode, into a state of thriving on every level. Taking people from stressed, suppressed and exhausted… to healthy, free and radiant.
Having seen the immense power in somatic tools, emotional health and authentic expression from personal experience, Shahna now guides people home to their most empowered selves, through the body.
Guest DJ: Lo.Tess - @lo.tess
Lo.tess is a Melbourne-based DJ, multidimensional artist and embodiment facilitator carving her own path in the worlds of bass music, ecstatic dance and creative expression.
With a dynamic and powerful style, she weaves a fresh fusion of fiery dubstep, ethereal future bass, trap, and tribal accents infused with eastern rhythms, global, and temple bass music.
Her sound drips with bass-heavy depths and luminous sacred spaces, offering a wild, sassy, and fully embodied experience.
Her Ecstatic Dance journeys are potent explorations through multi-layered genres that move from sensitive sounds that evoke emotion and inner stillness, to explosive and fun booty shaking, spicy rhythms to open space for expansion, and release, with each set being curated with intention to transcend into divine dance expression.
Guest Facilitator: Eliza Hilmer - @eliza.with.love
Eliza Hilmer is a talented yoga teacher, kriya breathwork facilitator and the founder of Feel Good Flows, an all inclusive yoga community.
Having suffered recurring severe joint dislocations growing up, her childhood was spent in physical rehabilitation rather than on any running track or podium. She was told by surgeons that her future would be one of life long pain management and dislocations unless she went ahead with reconstructive surgery… “that’s just the way it is in your case.” After accepting her fate, one day a distant relative suggested an alternative – yoga. She resisted, avoided, finding every moment of it agonising. Then one day everything changed. Her joints slowly strengthened, the suffering began to dissolve, and as a result the most important part of it all happened… her heart deeply softened and opened.
12 years later, her knees still shake when she’s challenged, her voice still trembles when she’s nervous, and her heart still races when she’s about to do something for the first time: and it’s all good – they’re exactly the moments she loves, for it’s when she feels the most alive. She pinches herself every day realising she has the privilege and pleasure to stand before hundreds of people sharing the practice that – hand on heart – saved her life.
Things to note:

Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 6:15pm - 6:30pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 6:45pm.
