• Mutual alignment between Centre of You and affiliated facilitators is of the highest importance.

  • Centre of You is built upon the foundations of a trauma-informed service and facilitation model for safe inner-exploration.

  • Let’s open a conversation about what it is you intend on bringing to the community and whether alignment exists.

Calling in all aligned facilitators, space holders and magic makers!

Welcome to Centre of You! (COY, for short)

We are glad you’re here…

If you resonate with Centre of You and wish to partner with us, it should be understood upfront that COY is not merely a space to hire. It is an intentional community centre with an overarching objective of housing a physically, psychologically, spiritually safe space for inner-exploration and self-understanding via multi-modality offerings.

We are offering like-minded facilitators the opportunity to hold space for our merged communities in the heart of Chapel Street Prahran. Mutual alignment between facilitator, offering and Centre of You values belonging, compassion, authenticity, support, empowerment, unity and safety, is a necessity.

We are serious about ensuring our values and ethos are woven into everything we do, from the type of events we offer, the space holders we partner with, and the types of offerings we say yes to. Why? This is to ensure that each offering held at COY carries a consistent, familiar, welcoming environment for participants new and old. When we share your event via our online platforms, we are promoting you to our community, who know they can trust COY to curate events for their inner exploration that are trauma-sensitive and inclusive for all.

What is trauma-sensitive facilitation?

COY is a centre for inner-exploration and when the inner-world is explored, delicate terrain can be landed upon. Participants of COY willingly go to these places to further understand, integrate and alchemise their lived experiences as their own sovereign inner-shaman or inner-healer though there are ways in which as space holders, we can create a supportive environment for them to do so including:

  • A sound understanding of somatic language, the nervous system and possible reactions to any aspect of an event that may trigger a stress or trauma response.

  • Having the capacity to calmly hold space for anyone navigating an activation, whilst still being able to facilitate the event for the collective group. Depending on numbers and the nature of your offering, this might mean that additional facilitators and/or space holders are present. Pre-organised support from COY leadership or COY Support Squad can be called upon in instances where additional space-holding may be required.

  • Informed and willful consent. Everything at COY is an invitation for participants with energies of expectation, pressure, obligation or coercion omitted. We encourage the interweaving of options for participants to make empowered choices and ask that verbal and non-verbal ways of articulating choices are offered. COY consent cards are available on-site and may be utilised as a tool.

We can always speak more about ways of incorporating trauma-sensitive facilitation into your offering or any support you may need from COY in doing so as we progress into the next stages of our partnership.

Does partnering with COY still feel aligned?

Great. Please complete this form to loop us into some introductory information about you and what you are envisioning your offering to be - as well as a general idea of dates or times you would be interested in booking.

What next?

We’ll come back to you on whether we can offer a spot for you at this time alongside financial arrangement information and next steps.

Our decision is first and foremost based on mutual alignment yet a number of other factors such as our current facilitator mix and the types of events we have upcoming also play a role. We are looking for diversity and range in our event planning, so if this time we are unable to meet your date, time, or event type requirements, don’t dismay, we are always expanding, evolving, and reassessing applications.
