Sonic Sanctuary: Sacred Sound, Breathwork, Meditation, & Mantra.

A multi-dynamic experience of healing sounds, supporting emotional release & nervous system regulation through ancient yogic principles.

Join Elliott for an immersive journey into a world of vibrational therapy, where sound and intention are combined to offer you a space to connect deeply within, ground yourself, and revitalize your system.

Sonic Sanctuary is a powerful 90-minute experience that unites energy activation movements, pranayama (breathwork), meditation, mantra, and ritual with a signature blend of sound healing. The practices are for all experience levels and are effortlessly woven together using a diverse array of traditional and sacred instruments, in the hopes to leave you feeling transported to a level of consciousness that both cleanses and nourishes your overall well-being.

What to expect:

You will be immersed in the soothing sounds of consecrated Quartz Crystal and Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Harp, Monochord, Tongue Drum, Hand-pan, Native American Flutes, Chimes, Tuning Forks, Medicine Drums, World Percussion, Throat Singing, Brainwave Entrainment, and evolving harmonies generated from the bio-electrical impulses of plants. This will be an opportunity for everybody, regardless of their prior experience with spiritual practices or sound journeys, to experience improved sleep and relaxation, improved immune and nervous system health, freedom from stress and anxiety, invigorated mental, emotional, and energetic states of being, emotional release, and a healthy spiritual self-care practice.

This unique experience combines ancient yogic techniques for well-being with modern music therapy technology, offering an opportunity for the down-regulation of the nervous system and the establishment of homeostasis on physical, mental, emotional, and subtle energetic levels. It's a mystical process that incorporates modern insights from science and mind-body research, offering potent and holistic elements of classical yoga.

When you attend a Sonic Sanctuary, you will be invited to come along on a journey of...

- Bathing in healing sounds designed to cleanse your energy centers & reset your nervous system

- Potent experiential pranayama techniques for restoring balance in the system

- Intoxicating meditative processes designed to promote inner health & worldly success

- Revitalizing transcendental mantras utilizing music & Nada yoga principles

- Genuine connections with other authentic seekers of the community

These practices are carefully designed to awaken your divine nature, uplift consciousness, and establish new energy patterns for well-being. This is an opportune moment for cultivating simplicity, clarity, balance, and Life-force energy, holistically leading you toward the passionate, joyful, and possibility-filled Life you were put on this planet to manifest.

How to prepare:

Please bring whatever you need to feel most comfortable. This could be an eye pillow, water, and a journal. You may also consider wearing non-synthetic clothing.

If you feel drawn to bring a small item to charge or cleanse, such as a crystal, you may keep it by you for your practice.

Only eat light meals and avoid caffeine on the day of the event.

The finish time can vary slightly, so please allow up to 15 minutes of overtime if the session extends beyond the scheduled time.

Things to note:

Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothes to enable deep breathing and sitting/laying upon the floor with ease. Something to cover your eyes, if you wish to do so (eg. eye mask, scarf). A journal is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc).

Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.

Notice of Partial Moment Amateur Photography/Videography: There are many events held at Centre of You where no content is captured. The facilitator of this event however wishes to capture moments of this gathering for future marketing and community-sharing purposes. This will take place via their personal device captured by themselves or a representative. We recognise that being recorded can impact personal comfort and nervous system regulation and we want to honor your preferences. If you do not wish to have your image captured yet still wish to join, know that this is entirely possible at this event. Please speak with us at the door so we can honour your boundaries. If you’d like to review any footage captured at the conclusion of the event, you are most welcome to do so.

Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 6:15pm - 6:30pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 6:45pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.

Driving: Know Centre of You is on Chapel St and ample time to find a car spot is best to be factored into your plans. Park direct on Chapel St (spots unmetered after 5pm) or in Anchor Place, the open-air parking lot in the side street that runs opposite Centre of You (unmetered after 4pm).

Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).

Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.

Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair accessible lift. If you could use support in getting up the stairs or would like to discuss ways to make your experience at Centre of You more comfortable, please reach out via hello@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram.
