An expansive experience of dance and somatic Neo-Tantric practices where you can access liberation via your connection to yourself.
You're invited to indulge your senses upon this tantalizing dance journey of bliss.
Aligned with Neo-Tantric practices like somatic shaking and ecstatic dance, O’gasmic Dance includes the energy of eros, the releasing of the mind and celebration of our pure being.
While s.xual energy is welcome in this space it is welcome to run vertically - meaning you are experiencing your pleasure individually for YOU - you are not horizontally putting your energy ONTO others. That way we can safely enjoy our own experience.
What exactly does this look like?
You are invited to allow the music to move your body in ways that evoke pleasure and connection to self. This can look like exploring varying movement paces. i.e. moving sensually and slowly then passionately and erratically. This can look like incorporating sounding into your dance as different emotions and feelings meet you. This can look like removing items of clothing - all humans are welcome in this dance to experiment with the removal and addition of clothing (lower underwear remains on).
While your facilitator, Chloe Adriana does run events where shared s.xual energy is welcome, O’gasmic Dance is not that event. If your own s.exual energy ignites within this dance journey, be present with it, move with it, explore it. This event is an inner-experience... no-one will know what your dance entails unless you choose to share about it later.
O'gasmic Dance is for all genders, it is LGBTQI+ - BIPOC friendly.
What to expect:
O’gasmic Dance begins as a circle of humans who may choose to share a warm, nurturing cup of cacao (optional and paid for on arrival), or simply join without. In this opening circle, we each name what’s alive for us - whether it’s trepidation, uncertainty, curiosity, or excitement - and set personal intentions.
A live guest ecstatic dance DJ then guides a free-movement dance set, inviting consistent, embodied, and exploratory connection with self. We close with an optional sharing of personal experiences in the community circle.
Testimonials:
"That was liberating beyond words. The container you created for me to unleash, let go and just be with myself was amazing. The energy in the room, the music, the guidance, the permission... incredible."
"Thank-you for holding/hosting this space to enable everyone to fully express themself, particularly witnessing and experiencing a space where women can be topless among men and feel respected and not sexualised. To also witness different body types in a non-sexual context."
O'gasmic Dance is a MOVEMENT!
Important note:

Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothes to enable deep breathing and sitting/laying upon the floor with ease. A journal is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc).
Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.
Notice of Full Event Capture by Professional Photographer/Videographer: There are many events held at Centre of You where no content is captured. At this event however, a professional photographer/videographer will be present to document the entirety of the experience. The content captured will be utilised for the creation of visual storytelling pieces for future promotional efforts to support the endeavours of the facilitator/s and possibly reshared by Centre of You. By attending, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of your identity being edited into shareable online content. We value transparency, your sense of comfort and your sense of agency - If you would like more information to help determine whether this iteration of the event is the right fit for you, please connect with us.
Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 6:15pm - 6:30pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 6:45pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.
Driving: Know Centre of You is on Chapel St and ample time to find a car spot is best to be factored into your plans. Park direct on Chapel St (spots unmetered after 5pm) or in Anchor Place, the open-air parking lot in the side street that runs opposite Centre of You (unmetered after 4pm).
Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).
Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.
Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair-accessible lift. If you could use support in getting up the stairs or would like to discuss ways to make your experience at Centre of You more comfortable, please reach out via hello@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram.
