Energy In Motion - An Ecstatic Dance & Cacao Journey Through the Chakras.

Energy In Motion: An Ecstatic Dance & Cacao Journey

Welcome to Energy In Motion, a transformational event where ecstatic dance, cacao, and emotional release come together to create an unforgettable experience. This is more than an event; it's a journey of self-discovery and expression, offering a blend of personal growth, community connection, and joyful celebration.

Emotion is energy in motion, and this experience is designed to support emotional processing with an undercurrent of bliss. It's about inner exploration and embodied expression, all within a vibrant, party-like atmosphere. Personal development can be fun, and we're here to prove it.

October Event: Sacral Chakra (Water)

This October, Energy In Motion will be focusing on activating and flowing with our sacral chakra (Svadhisthana), the energy centre that is linked with sensuality and creativity. Anchoring into deeper levels of self expression and freedom within our self and our body.

This event is an opportunity to dance AND an invitation to transform through beauty, play, and the pleasure of being fully present in your body.

Experience Highlights

  • Ecstatic Dance: A space for free expression. Let go of inhibition and move to the rhythm. No dance experience needed, just an open heart.

  • Cacao Ceremony: Connect with this heart-opening plant medicine, traditionally known as "food of the Gods." The ceremony invites emotional clarity and deeper connection to self while fueling your desire to dance.

  • Chakra Exploration: Each event focuses on one of the seven chakras. From the root to the crown, we journey through these energetic centers, integrating their wisdom and embracing their power.

Community Guidelines

  • Be present: No phones

  • Be clear: No intoxicants

  • Be embodied: No talking during the dance

  • Be respectful: Consensual contact only

Join us at Energy In Motion for a transformative experience where you can dance, connect, and evolve with a community of kindred spirits.

Together, let’s celebrate the full spectrum of the human experience and transform through the power of movement, music, and shared energy.

Upcoming Dates:

  • Saturday October 11th: Sacral Chakra

  • Saturday November 8th: Root Chakra

About your hosts:

Host: Shahna Sarpi - @shahnasarpi

It was love at first dance, when Shahna stepped onto an ecstatic dance dance-floor. She saw the immense power in embodied movement and authentic expression, coming home to her body and her self and feeling the liberation that comes from allowing the energy to move through her. Since that time, she has interwoven these lessons and practices into what she does personally, but also professionally.

Shahna works with the body and nervous system to get people out of survival mode, into a state of thriving on every level. Taking people from stressed, suppressed and exhausted… to healthy, free and radiant.

Having seen the immense power in somatic tools, emotional health and authentic expression from personal experience, Shahna now guides people home to their most empowered selves, through the body.

Co-Host: Patty McDonald (aka Chakaruna) - @ pattymac.truth

Patty is passionate about helping people open their hearts and find bliss in the full spectrum of the human experience. Chakaruna means "Bridge Person" in the Quechua language - this journey is here to provide a bridge for you into new ways of connecting with your self, with each other and with the world around you.

An experienced leader and coach, he recently doubled down on music as an even purer vehicle to deliver transformation, and spent a few weeks in Guatemala dancing with and learning from some of the world's best organic music producers such as Mose, Scott Nice, ATYYA and Melbourne's own Temple Step Project. He also was humbled to learn about Cacao plant magic whilst in Guatemala and is honoured to be holding a space for Cacao and Ecstatic Dance to be shared with our community.

Guest DJ: Julie Jones - @juliejones_dj

Julie Jones is a rising Italian-Eritrean artist whose music fuses percussion and deep beats with ethnic and ancestral sounds and soundscapes. She quickly garnered attention by showcasing her skills at notable events like Esoteric Festival and various venues across Melbourne and interstate.

Her dedication to music drives her to constantly seek out the perfect tracks for her sets, aiming to transmit beautiful, unique energy and create a fulfilling experience on the dancefloor.

Over the years, Julie has refined and evolved her sound into something distinct, honoring her Eritrean roots while incorporating rich, groovy bass lines and powerful tribal loops.

Julie's ultimate aspiration is to take her audience on a mystical journey to her homeland, Africa, inviting them to experience the essence of her cultural roots through the immersive power of her music.

Guest Facilitator: Claire Diaz - @clairee_de_lune_

Claire Diaz is a sexologist and sex & relationship coach on a mission to dismantle taboos and normalise sex through education, empowerment, and embodiment. Growing up, she felt sex education was severely lacking, so she set out to learn for herself - a journey that has now become her life’s passion: helping others understand and embrace sexuality more fully.

With backgrounds in sexology, psychotherapy, and somatic practices, Claire takes a holistic approach to intimacy - recognising that sex and relationships are beautifully complex and unique to each individual. She works 1:1 with clients and also facilitates workshops, retreats, and group programs designed to support people in finding liberation and joy in their sexuality. She is also the creator and host of The Sweet Spot - a fun (and saucy) educational event where her playful side lets loose. Dance and yoga are big pillars in Claire’s life, and she weaves them into her work to help people deepen their embodied connection to themselves.
